SimpleTab 1.0.1 (Guitar)

Introduction:
simpleTAB is a music notation program that outputs tablature. Tablature is a notation for stringed 
instruments in which the lines of  the staff represent the strings of the instrument. Numbers on
 the staff represent where to play the notes on the fretboard. I will not go into a full description of
 tab, but this can be found in most guitar magazines available at your local bookstore.

My motivation for writing simpleTAB is that there is no other decent tablature notation program 
on the market for the Macintosh. Commercial programs are complex, and most require you to
 learn regular notation. TheyÕre also extremely expensive. Freeware and shareware offerings, 
at least from what IÕve seen, are simply not good enough for everyday use.

About the Author:
My name is Jon Nichols and I am a business student at QueenÕs University in Kingston, Ontario, 
Canada. I will be entering the workforce in May of 1996, and am currently seeking employment as

simpleTAB version 1.0:
This is the final release of simpleTAB 1.0. I have released other versions before, but since then, 
the program has undergone a major rewriting. As a result, not only is the program more stable, 
but in the future, I should be able to upgrade it much more easily. simpleTAB is freeware. All I ask
 is  that you tell me whatÕs wrong with simpleTAB, and how it screwed up your system(the author is
 not responsible for any data lost as a result of running simpleTAB). I'm interested in porting 
simpleTAB to other languages. I currently have access to translators to French, German, Spanish,
 and Indonesian. If you'd like to do a translation, please contact me.
