SoundCompacter quickly compacts and expands AIFF sound files into a special format 
with extension ".zsn". The compressed files are about 4 to 10 times smaller than the original 
ones, without loosing much quality! And the better the recording, better is the compression 
rate and also the final result!

You can run the program and select "Convert" menu, or even drag & drop your sound files
to automaticaly open them. In this version, this software only works with mono or multichannel AIFF files. 
The original file remains intact, and another one is created with the extension ".zsnd" in the 
same folder.

Recomended System
Any Mac (68020 or better) with System 7 (or newer). It is highly recomended the use of a 
PowerPC computer for decompressing sound files. HD speed and cache also make difference
 in performance. Recordings with the best quality (16 bits & 44 kHz or better) have the best 
result. The code was optimized for compacting natural sounds and music recorded through 
the audio system of your Macintosh (mic or CD).
