SoundView 1.2 Demo

Peabody Digital SoundWork's SoundView application is a versatile audio digital signal
processing tool that provides an environment in which to analyze, modify and resynthesize
sound. 

With SoundView, you can:
-Analyze the spectral content of a sound; see the frequency components which give a sound 
	its unique timbral characteristics 
-Study the formant structure of various vocal patterns, both human and non-human, for
	scientific and medical research. 
-Calculate the effect a filter has on a sound. Analyze the effectÕs spectral content for use 
	in DSP algorithms. 
-Analyze the acoustics in a room. Find out where the acoustic "sweet-spots" are and isolate 
	the problem spots which are more susceptible to distortion. 
-Display a spectrogram of two closely related sounds, to see as well as listen to their 
	differences and similarities. Subtract one sound from another and resynthesize the result 
	as a new sound file.

System Requirements:
-Macintosh or Macinstosh-compatible computer with PowerPC processor
-MacOS Versions 7.5 or later with Apple Sound Manager. 
-No third-party audio hardware required
-16MB of RAM or greater (32MB or greater recommended)
-SoundView can run with virtual memory on. However, certain operations
may take longer to finish when virtual memory is activated.
-At least 3MB of free space for application and example sounds
-8-bit color display
-Supports all standard screen resolutions
