Virtual Drummer 4.0 Virtual Drummer is a drum machine that utilizes the built-in capabilities of Quicktime to output sound without requiring external hardware. The interface was designed to be extremely straightforward, and requires no musical knowledge. In no time, anyone can create fairly complex drum rhythms. Drums are added to a set simply by dragging and dropping from a palette. A simple grid is used to add beats, which can be stored in a drumlets palette, similar to a clipart library you might find in a graphics application. Virtual Drummer can also export the song as a Quicktime movie or AIFF file, allowing you to use it in multimedia presentations and web pages. Virtual Drummer is freeware. New features in version 4.0 include: Interactive Playback - When a song is edited, the update occurs immediately...even if the song is already playing! AIFF Export - Export your creations as a sound file! Support for the latest MacOS technologies - Supports Appearance Manager, Navigation Services, Contextual Menus, and QuickTime 3.0. New Practice Features - Master tempo allows for getting up to speed while practicing. Lead In Support - Let Virtual Drummer automatically put a one measure lead in to your song. Click Track - Long breaks in the song? No problem! Virtual Drummer can click along with the beat. Improved MIDI Import/Export - Now, exchanging files is easy with improved handling of standard MIDI files.
