The Digital Tradition Folksong Player imports thousands of mainly American and British folksongs from the WWW (the Digital Tradition web site at http://www.mudcat.org and the abc web site at http://www.gre.ac.uk/~c.walshaw/abc/) which then can be printed out as high quality music score or played using your computer's soundcard. A nice sounding accompaniment consisting of bass, piano, guitar and drums can be automatically created. As most of these tunes do not contain chord names, this progam will automatically generate chord names before playing if you like. Guitar fret diagrams can be automatically generated. Optionally displays notes as shape notes (4 or 7 shape systems). Supports all General MIDI Instruments. Imports melodies from SongWright, abc, MusicEase and quantized MIDI files.
