DX Manager is an editor, librarian and patch generator for the Yamaha DX7 and compatible synths.
It has the following key features:

-Edit any Yamaha DX series voice data file: compressed/uncompressed data, with/without wrappers.
-Comprehensive MIDI support - send/receive and edit patches, banks and files. Monitor and send MIDI messages.
-Unlimited number of files can be opened simultaneously for editing.
-Voice patches can be easily organized - drag & drop within/between files. Full patch sort, find and group facilities.
-Print voice lists and voice parameters.
-Unlimited voice editing - work on several voices simultaneously - drag & drop voice elements and parameters between 
  patches in the same voice, and within the same orB  to different files.
-All voice parameters displayed in a single patch editor window, with full graphical and "hear as you go" editing.
-Powerful patch generator tool - create totally new patches from existing voices using a simple Explorer type tree to 
  manage patch/parameter selections.
-DX to SY file converter - sonically accurate conversions from DXx to 1AFM file SY series synth file formats.

System requirements: Nothing special although MIDI interface required.
DX Manager requires MDAC to be installed on your computer. If you have Win98 Second edition or later then MDAC will 
already be on your machine. If not, you can visit the program home page to download an alternate version of the 
program.

Freeware/Shareware status: Totally and absolutely free, the program is not crippled in any way.
