When you play or hear music your ear is used to recognize notes, intervals,
chords, major / minor tonality, scales, seventh chords, dominants and so forth.
Does your ear perceive the difference between: major and minor scales? 4th and
a 5th intervals? Or between a mi7(b5) and a dim7 chord?

A Musical Ear is the single most important skill for musicians, but most
musicians have poor aural skills because they do not practice ear training.
Are you one of them?

Ear training for all musicians
EarMaster will challenge all trained and untrained ears. It is for all vocalists
and musicians playing guitar, piano, bass, drums, flute or any other instrument.
The broad range of exercise areas in EarMaster covers all your needs for training
pitch, harmonies and rhythms. EarMaster includes exercises in identifying
intervals, scales and modes, chords, chord inversions, chord progressions. You
will also find exercises in transcribing melodies and rhythms, and in reading or
imitating rhythms.

Highly interactive
EarMaster gives instant visual and audio feedback on everything you do. You can
interact with EarMaster using the staff or multiple- choice, or using one of the
onscreen instruments: piano, guitar, bass, violin, cello, banjo and more. With a
microphone you can sing, clap or even play your answers on your favorite
instrument. EarMaster also supports MIDI input from for example a keyboard.

Comprehensive package of exercises
The EarMaster Tutors will challenge your musical ear and increase the difficulty
as your ear improves. The Standard Tutor includes 440 lessons and the Jazz Tutor
has 211 lessons specific to jazz. The tutors introduce each lesson with a short
description and give you useful tips and hints. You can take a lesson again and
again, because it will never be exactly the same.
EarMaster Pro allows you to make your own lessons and configure them exactly as
you want. You can even create your own chords or scales for the drills!

Detailed statistics
EarMaster provides you with detailed information on your progress. Have I become
better and faster at identifying the minor 7th chord within the past 2 weeks?
How much time did I spend training my ears for the past month?
