Hauptwerk 1.20 Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP Hauptwerk is a computer simulation of a pipe organ for the PC, playable by MIDI. Different pipe organs can be loaded into the program and you can sample and create your own. It differs from most software synths and samplers in that a large (3-5 second) sample is loaded for EVERY PIPE in the organ, which may well amount to several thousand samples and several hours of audio, but gives extremely realistic results. You will need a fairly powerful modern computer to use it; an absolute minimum specification is a Pentium III 450 MHz with 128 MB of RAM. To use the largest organ currently available you would need a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz with 700 MB of RAM. The default download includes only a test organ with a single pipe. To use the program you will also need to download a set of organ files. Those files are EXTREMELY LARGE downloads. You can also purchase the program, complete with organ files on a CD. Further details and organ file downloads are available on the Hauptwerk website: http://www.hauptwerk.co.uk/. System requirements: Minimum PC spec.: P3 450 MHz, 128 MB RAM. Recommended: P4 1 GHz+, 700 MB+ RAM. DirectX 8.1. Shareware. Price US $70. A periodic triangle chime is audible when unregistered, preventing useful recordings. Registration removes the chime.Download Software
