Style Enhancer v1.0

Style Enhancer is a new unique piece of software, which has been developed
by NTONYX Laboratory specialists for all musicians who create music with the
help of computer and MIDI. Now, with Style Enhancer (SE)computer can not merely 
"play" the music, but it can in fact "perform" it.

New program is based on the method of performance modeling realized with
the help of musical artificial intelligence. A musician plays music by
rules based on musical experience accrued by culture of centuries and not
always realizes it. As a performer, the new software introduces performance
nuances into an original part, that makes it sound alive. Style Enhancer
releases an arranger and a composer from tiresome hand-operated editing of
data in sequencer and necessity of virtuoso skills with keyboard and
controllers.

                      Features of Style Enhancer v1.0

Style Enhancer V1.0 is a shareware program.

Style Enhancer V1.0 includes the SE-Style Library of 20 Styles for various
musical instruments and performing manners, examples for processing and
DEMO MIDI files. The program gives wide opportunities for solving problems
on arrangement and composing and grants full freedom in modifying Styles
from the Library and creating on your own.

Complete version of Style Enhancer includes Users Guide (English), written
in a form of a step-by-step basis tutorial on 258 pages (as a File or as a
Book).

SE-Style Library

Style Enhancer v1.0. includes a library of different styles for various
musical instruments and performing manners. The styles cover such groups of
musical instruments as a guitar (acoustic, blues, overdrive, distortion),
slap, acoustic, fretless bass, reeds (saxophone, flute), bowed (violin,
viola), vocal, percussion, etc.

Data Transformation
   * Processing of a track/channel (a part) by a Style
   * General regulation of a part processing degree by certain parameters
   * Regulation of a part processing degree by certain parameters for
     certain Rules
   * Successive automatic processing of parts in MIDI-files by different
     Styles (Project)

Style Editing and Designing
   * Modifying Styles - Rules & Tools muting, deleting, copying, inserting
   * Rules & Tools editing, adjusting recognizing and transforming
     conditions
   * Designing user's own styles for complex processing to acquire
     performance manner
   * Designing user's own auxiliary styles for certain operations on data
     transforming

Operation with Files and Playing back
   * Loading, saving source and transformed SMF
   * MIDI-files (or fragments) exchange with other sequence programs
     through Clipboard
   * Playing source and transformed files, playing a part by phrases

Other Functions
   * Automatic and hand marking of music phrase boundaries
   * Statistic data analysis of Notes, Durations, Chords, Cross, Tempo,
     Velocity, Volume, Pitch Wheel, Modulation, Panning, etc.

System Requirements
   * Computer suitable PC386 and higher, 4 MB RAM
   * Free disk space - 3 MB and more
   * Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 compatible. Windows 95, Windows NT tested
   * SE uses Windows MIDI-Mapper for playing on MIDI-devices


                             Demo version 

DEMO version of Style Enhancer is a simplified variant of the complete
program, which includes 4 Styles, examples for processing and
DEMO-Midi-files demonstrating the work of the program. DEMO version Styles
allow to transform melody parts of Saxophone (saxdem.cnv) and Overdriven
Guitar (odgdem.cnv), generate Acoustic Guitar Accompaniment out of chord
sequences (acgdem.cnv), and also to make Unreal performance manner of
melody part (cnfdem.cnv). There are subroutnes Analyzer and Result Viewer.
Master Controls are available to get essential edition of the working
Styles and to receive different variants of source part performance. SE
DEMO version doesn't allow to modify Styles, create and use Styles of the
complete version.
