Sibelius for Windows Demo
***NOTE: The free demo is available on CD-ROM only and must be requested.
Sibelius is a powerful score creation program designed to be very easy to use, and very
fast. Previously available only on Acorn RISC computers, it is now available for Windows.
Notes can be entered via MIDI or by using the mouse and keyboard. Sibelius can also play
scores via MIDI, including expression and phrasing. Layout and formatting can be changed
quickly and easily (the amount of time it requires is independent of the sore size) and
parts can be extracted and transposed. Guitar tablature and chord diagram capability is
also built-in.
Sibelius also makes it possible to publish scores on the web so anyone can view it. Users
can also download a free web browser plug-in that allows them to play and transpose the
piece.
Included with Sibelius is PhotoScore Lite, which allows you to scan in printed music and
then manipulate it on your computer.
Sibelius has a MSRP of $599, and educational/theological discounts are available.
To get the demo version of Sibelius, you must order a CD-ROM from their web site.
