Smart Monkey MIDI is a visual, pattern based, loop based, non-stop action,
remote controllable music production tool.  It was designed with the
following purposed in mind:

- Composing your next electronic music CD (techno, ambient, experimental,
etc...
- Sequencing external hardware synths
- Sequencing virtual synths like Native Instrument's Reaktor
- Making loops for Sonicfoundry's Acid
- Sequencing your SoundBlaster Live or other Soundfont or DLS enabled
soundcards
- Working with hardware Groove Boxes

SMM is great for building up grooves and keeping the creative process
flowing.  Easily synch to hardware groove boxes.  Keep the grooves going
while you edit them and record new ones.   Build an entire song and mix it
without ever having to stop the music. Hear the result of what you do
immediately, switch to a new instrument without stopping the sound.

With a single MIDI controller, you can control an entire studio full of MIDI
gear (synthesizers, rackmounts etc...) using built in and automatic MIDI
re-direction technology. You can also control much of the UI by assigning
useful functions to external MIDI triggers.

Smart Monkey MIDI strives for reliability and simplicity - leading to

interface.  SMM attempts to bring you the feel and simplicity of hardware
with the flexibility of computer software.
