Title: Songbird Studio (version 1.1)


Songbird Studio is a professional music tool designed to help all levels
of musicians.  It has a realistic instrument interface for the novice to
experiment with, and an array of musical analysis tools for the expert.
Just some of the things you can do with Songbird Studio are naming of
chords, finding a particular chord or scale, finding the key of a piece
of music, transposing music, translating between instruments, finding
the scale that fits a solo. Create a studio by connecting keyboard,
guitar, analyzer, processor or MIDI components together as you desire.
Songbird Studio is shareware; instructions for registration are in
the program's help.  Registering gives you the Songbird Suite, which
contains a more capable version of the software, as well as other
great music software.

Songbird Studio allows you to understand and experiment with relationships 
between various pieces of music.  Here are just a few examples of what Songbird 
Studio is perfectly suited for:
- You want play a C#6/9, a chord you've never seen before, or you want to know 
why that chord is named that and how to play it.
- You have just learned a song (or created one), and you'd like to know what key 
it is in.
- You are playing with someone, and one of you has to transpose up or down several 
keys.
- You have some very interesting chords you'd like to play, but you want to find 
easier fingerings.
- You picked up a solo from the radio, and you'd like to know what key and what 
scale is being played.
- You are creating your own music, and you've run out of ideas about how to tie 
two particular passages together.
- You've just acquired a mandolin, and would like to translate your guitar knowledge 
to it.

This gives you an idea of the things Songbird Studio can do, but you'll probably 
discover your own uses for it!  Help | How Do I ... gives you instructions on how 
to do many frequently desired things with Songbird Studio.
