Sounder is a generative music program for Windows that lets the user create and 
playback ambient music visually and interactively on their PC's sound card or 
external midi devices. Compositions play perpetually.

There is a player version that does all but save. The full version costs $24.95.



System Requirements:
       486SX-25 or higher processor 
       640x480, 256-color display or better 
       8MB RAM, sound card with speakers or headphones 
       Microsoft Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 (NT not tested) 
       MS-DOS 5.0 or later 

Notes

Sounder will run with a display of less than 256 colors, but the animated objects 
(called "Soundimations") that come bundled with the program will look very strange. 
However, a simple blue ball Soundimation will look just fine, and you can create 
your own 16-color objects as well. 

Sounder uses the MIDI synthesizer portion of your sound card to generate its music. 
As a result, it does not take up massive amounts of hard disk space to store its 
music. You can play a piece for 10 hours using a Sounder file that is only 800 bytes 
in size!
