StringWalker

StringWalker is a tablature editor with capability to play and save songs in MIDI format. It can accomodate a variety of stringed instruments including guitar, lutes, mandolin, banko, and more, with the ability to define your own instruments.

Features:
-StringWalker supports editing of tablature in Modern, French and Italian format for
customizable instruments with up to 16 courses, 8 frettable courses, and 24 frets
on the neck, including guitar, lutes, theorboes (re-entrant tuning supported), viola
da gamba, banjo, citterns, bandoras, mandolin, etc.
-Instant replay of edited piece, and "echo" editing, that lets you hear the note or chord
currently edited.
-Chord finder and note finder utility plus a standard chord toolbar giving you all Major
and minor chords in first position in any tuning.
-Piano keyboard input
-Full page display of tablature with automatic scrolling while the piece is being played.
-Automatic transcription of tablature in mensural notation, in 5 available clefs.
-MIDI format files import & export
-Multimedia support, including MIDI and AVI (movie clip) files. This version also allows
you to include a facsimile in bitmap format within the program
-StringWalker also allows for several pieces to be included in one document - either
sequentially, or in duet, trio or quartet mode - up to 8 instruments!
-Each section can have a different instrument, so you can work on a document with two
unequal lutes, for instance, or guitar and bass, or enter a complete Baroque suite.
-Four different styles of flags: English, Italian, Baroque and modern

supported clefs.
