VMix 95
V-MIX is a full featured, Professional MIX Automation Software Package, designed
to work with a wide range of Off-The-Shelf hardware. V-MIX is the missing link
between the myriad of Fader to MIDI Converters, and MIDI controlled Gain devices
on the market.
V-Mix provides the "Brains" for these devices without having to rely on a Mixing
"screen" in a music sequencer. Sequencing programs are wonderful music making
programs, but to expect them to also be the center for a MIX Automation system
is a bit of a stretch. V-MIX offers automation features usually reserved for
expensive automation "packages" built in to large studio consoles. Features like
Fader READ, WRITE, and ISOLATE Modes, Fader NULLING, Fader Punch in and Out,
and real dB based displays and editing. These features are not available when using
a music sequencer program for automation control. V-MIX also offers Grouping,
Event list Editing, and MATH (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) Functions, and
other advanced editing functions.
VMix95 was written by Bob Damiano at Neo-Sync Labs. NSL is a fully operating
recording studio that uses VMix every day of its life. The VMix home page can
be found at http://www.tier.net/neosync.
