WinAmp 2.64 for Windows 95/NT Winamp is a high quality MPEG audio player. It plays all Layer 2 and Layer 3 MPEG audio streams, and combines the most functionality found in any MPEG audio player with an intuitive interface. Plus, with it's plugin architecture, you can play many more types of sound files. Despite all its features, Winamp's performance is competitive with every other player. Winamp has a full featured playlist editor, that allows editting of the playing list. Winamp has a 10 band graphical equalizer with preamp, and user defineable presets that can optionally automatically load for specific files. Winamp has built-in visualization, so you can watch your music in a little part of its interface. Winamp has a plugin system that lets third parties write plugins that change the way the music sounds (effect loops), and develop plugins that let you watch the music like you never thought possible. These are just the major features. Winamp has countless little features that make it special, and set it apart from most applications. Windowshade mode, that makes Winamp have a minimal screen footprint without sacrificing usability. Winamp can stick on top (always on top), it can remove itself from your crowded taskbar (and put an icon in your system tray), it can snap to the screen viewport, it can stay highlighted in background, the list goes on. Winamp is based on AMP, an audio mpeg decoding engine that Tomislav Uzelac originally starting putting together for an academic project. The WinAmp home page can be found at http://winamp.lh.net/, and contains lots of plugins and skins.Download Software
